AudioQuest's Rocket 11 has won at the What Hi-Fi Awards for 3 years running ('18,'19,'20), proving themselves to be real leaders in their price range. Borrowing engineering from both the FLX/SliP 14/4 and the Rocket 33, this cable delivers remarkably smooth and balanced sound at its price. An exceptional budget option!
Winner of What Hi-Fi's Best Speaker Cable 2018, 2019 & 2020, AudioQuest's Rocket 11 is an excellent speaker cable for the money. By utilising technology used in the construction of both the FLX/SLiP and Rocket 33, the Rocket 11 speaker cable is a best of both worlds speaker cable, offering ground-breaking performance and flexibility at an affordable price. When complemented with AudioQuest's SureGrip 100 or 300 Silver plugs, Rocket 11 can outperform rival speaker cables by a landslide.
The AudioQuest Rocket series is one of the most successful AudioQuest speaker cables due to its excellent design and construction. The Rocket series is an ideal speaker cable for entry to mid-level range Hi-Fi and AV systems. This latest cable in the Rocket series is constructed from a mix of the award-winning AudioQuest FLX/SLiP 14/4 and AudioQuest Rocket 33 speaker cables.
The Rocket 11 speaker cable utilises both stranded and solid 'Long-Grain Copper' semi-solid true-concentric conductors, a first for AudioQuest. The combination of 'Long-Grain Copper' and true-concentric conductors ensures the Rocket 11 delivers a more balanced, dynamic and cleaner sound. Rocket 11 is available as both single wire and bi-wire configuration.
"True-Concentric" is an industry-standard term for when each layer of strands in a concentric conductor is spiralled in the opposite direction from the layer below, eliminating the lines of contact between the layers, and increasing contact pressure at the points of contact. The downside is much more machine time and higher cost – the upside is a better sound you can hear. True-Concentric construction significantly furthers the beneficial effect of the skin-effect by dramatically increasing layer autonomy.

"The first thing we like about the Rocket 11 is how flexible it is. Much like AudioQuest’s previous Award-winning FLX-SLiP 14/4, it’s easy to bend the malleable cable around tight corners to reach your kit without worrying about it breaking or getting damaged."... "There’s a perceptible improvement in the way the systems perform when the Rocket 11 is plugged in, compared with rival speaker cables from Atlas and Chord Company."... "with the Rocket 11, our system knits musical elements together with more confidence and alacrity. We get a better sense of spaciousness, too."... "Rocket 11 speaker cable is well worth that investment." (Read More) What Hi-Fi 5 Star Review - October 2018

This cable is professional terminated by Futureshop using one of the following plug options:
Both the SureGrip 100 and SureGrip 300 Banana plugs utlisise the stronger and more conductive Beryllium Copper as a base metal, offering higher tensile strength and superior sound to phosphor bronze found on many banana plugs. The SureGrip 100 and SureGrip 300 Spade plugs utilise higher purity Purple Copper which provides cleaner and clearer sound when compared to standard copper or brass used in other "premium" connectors.
The differences between the SureGrip 100s and SureGrip 300s can be found in the amount on metal used in the construction of the plug. The SureGrip 300 uses substantially more metal in the connector compared to the SureGrip 100 resulting in a superior connection between the conductors, the connector and your system.
The coppers of the connector, just as in the speaker cable itself can lend to the cable sounding more detailed, wider soundstage, lowering of the noise floor and protection of the raw conductors. These benefits increase step by step as you progress higher up the series from the Suregrip 100 Beryllium Copper plugs to the Series 1000 Red Copper banana plugs. The plating process also changes as you move up the series, resulting in a thicker and more durable plating.
From the dropdown menus' above, simply select the length of cable, the type of plugs required at the ‘Amplifier end’ and ‘Speaker end’ and click on the 'Add to Basket' button to add the item to your basket. Your cable will be dispatched as soon as it has been made by Future Shop's or the manufacturer’s engineers and has completed the specified burn-in process (if any), subject to Future Shop’s Terms & Conditions and stock availability.
AudioQuest has been the largest cable supplier to the high-end specialist market for many years. AudioQuest is sold in several hundred outlets in the US and in over sixty countries. Bill Lowe (Founder) is especially pleased that this success has been possible despite his insistence that the foundation of the company, and the foundation of AudioQuest marketing, must be the performance of the product. In the audio world, many professionals have learned that it is not always convenient to listen to the products they sell … they might learn something they don’t want to know! Bill has always understood the challenge of basing the existence of AudioQuest on the performance of the product. However, to Bill, this is the only reasonable way to do business and the only acceptable way to combine his passion for music (and all things high performance), with his need to make a living.

Our cable burn-in service is a non-chargeable service and is provided by Future Shop at its discretion. We will attempt to fulfil all burn-in requests for the specified time periods. However, during extremely busy periods, we regret we may not be able to meet demand for all requests due to the limited connections available on the Nordost Vidar cable conditioning machines.
We are pleased to offer a free cable burn-in service for this cable when purchased through Future Shop. The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine combines three distinct functions all in one operation:
The VIDAR uses a proprietary combination of composite and complex signals to condition the cables. Parts of the signal oscillate at ultra-low frequencies, while other parts are in ultra-high ranges which extend beyond the range of video frequencies. The signal bounces in a ping-ping ball-like fashion from one end of the cable to the other. During the burn-in process, ultra-low frequencies penetrate deep into the core of the cable. The ultra-high frequencies zip along the surface. This method of signal transmission is set up to beat harmonics, or heterodynes, between the two complex waveforms. In the digital domain, this would be referred to as aliasing products. These beat frequencies penetrate all layers of the cable.
The design of the circuitry also has a unique feature which drives electrons above the conductor into the dielectric (or insulation) area. The VIDAR not only sends ping pong signals along the cable, it also sends a similar signal from the centre core to the outer shield in the case of interconnect cables. This function neutralises the electrical charges discussed above.
So, what does that all mean to me?
The end result of conditioning cables with the Nordost VIDAR is improved sound staging, increased detail, and an overall more musical presentation.
